Change Your Viewpoint
What we see depends mainly on what we look for.
John Lubbock
To successfully navigate a rapidly changing business environment, the clarity and fresh perspective of new viewpoints is essential. A change of viewpoint provides:
* context and insight into recurring challenges and patterns of performance *
* holistic perspective of the vast network of interrelations in the business environment *
* spotlighting of areas of untapped potential *
* illumination of blindspots *
* inspiration for innovative solutions that support organizational growth *
| Our invitation is to explore a change of viewpoint in order to connect to the greater potential of your organization or team. This could be a “zoom out” (like seeing from a mountain peak) or a “dive in” (like exploring the depths of a ocean). No special equipment or training is needed, simply an open mindset, curiosity and a willingness to explore outside the comfort zone. |
Holistic Insights
We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.
Albert Einstein
Our approach is based on a holistic perspective that views organizational performance metrics from the understanding that organizations are living systems.
A holistic view involves understanding how the whole organization is functioning, not just the individual parts. The aim is to find the true underlying drivers of organizational performance, going beyond what can be seen on the surface.
The traditional, non-holistic approach of focusing on the parts overlooks the interconnections and true origin of patterns of performance. As a result, the proposed solution to an organizational challenge either does not last or creates a new set of challenges – today’s problems are often yesterday’s solutions!
Systems thinking is a discipline for seeing wholes. It is a framework for seeing interrelationships rather than things, for seeing ‘patterns of change’ rather than static ‘snapshots’.
